Jewellace is part of JL Fairs ...
A craft worker since childhood, JL Fairs organiser, Debbie Owen is passionate about beads and history, in June 2008 I decided to share my passion with like-minded people at JL Fairs events.
A "trial stall" was set up at the Lakeland Bead Fair in October 2008 and generated a lot of interest, so I now run a stall at JL Fairs, with my alter ego the Silk Pixie.
The Jewellace name was invented in 1998 to describe my hobby of lace design jewellery, from my needlelace inspired techniques, I have revived the name because it is apt for the lace I still make and can be used for the "lace" beads created by Venetian Artisans, which I sell.
I now offer modern blown glass beads, antique/vintage trade beads, Victorian glass French Jet, Whitby Jet and newly mined opals at JL Fairs and via my new "Party Plan"*.

JEWELLACE PARTIES:
Jewellace parties enable the hostess and guests to see, examine and buy Venetian beads, jet and opal.
You are also able to browse our catalogue of new Venetian beads and order beads or items of jewellery.
As a hostess you are able to order 15% worth of goods for the total amount of your guests purchases.
Every hostess receives a small thank you gift for holding a party.
Items are delivered to your door 2 weeks after your party.

Jewellace is an enthusiastic amateur historian and gemologist; through these parties I hope to share knowledge of the Venetian beads and the Victorians love affair with Jet plus the effect the new opal mine had on the Victorian fashions.
