I remember my grandmother ‘s lacemaking but I was thrilled to discover recently that I come from a long line of lace makers, many of whom were originally based in Bedfordshire.  I use needle lace and bobbin lace in my designs and pictures, to add texture and depth.

Braids of all kinds are couched as outlines and/or frames.

Created by oriental and knotting techniques.

I create East Midlands style bobbin lace as well as needle lace, netting and Teneriffe lace, which are perfect for designs in many yarns and materials. Some of my designs have featured 9ct gold and sterling silver.
